TBB Asks: All About Love
Happy Monday, ladies! I'm joining my friends at The Blended Blog for this months' TBB Asks. We've enjoyed getting to know more about all of you - thanks for linking up! Let's talk about love...
1 / I suppose it depends on the person. But I do love giving and receiving hugs.
2 / Confession time. My husband thinks Valentine's Day is a Hallmark holiday, so we never exchange gifts. But don't worry, he's very romantic and brings me flowers other times during the year. And I buy myself enough candy!
3 / Hmmm...neither? Mr. Lana is the chef in our house. I guess I prefer baking. Or, if we're being honest, eating all the baked things.
4 / Yep. I was 13, he was a much older man of 15, and we were playing hide and seek with the neighborhood kids. Which was probably just an excuse to hide in the same spot. Anyway. He's the only other person I've kissed besides my husband.
5 / I love them all. I had red roses at our wedding, but I think pale pink is so pretty too.
6 / Yes, if all the M&M's of the world tragically disappeared and they were the only candy left. So really no.
7 / Does writing messages on the mirror in our bathroom count?
8 / I have a few things. Just ordered this throw pillow but it hasn't arrived yet.
9 / Pink, pink, pink and pink.
10 / All the chocolate. I'm not picky when it comes to chocolate.
11 / Absolutely. Sometimes when you know you know. My friend's parents met, fell in love, and eloped within a week. They're still married 50 years later.
12 / I don't do cards very often, but when I do they tend to be humorous.
13 / So many to choose from. But my very favorite is Serendipity, with John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale. My husband took me on my first trip to NYC so we could visit all the sites from the movie, and I wrote about it here. See, he's romantic.
14 / My inclination is to stay in, but I'm working on going out more this year. Stay tuned.
Time to link up! And be sure to join us next Monday for "what love looks like to me".

You and pink just mesh well. I love that pillow. Yes, to all the chocolate too! Have a great week, friend!
ReplyDeleteI should probably buy more red but I'm always drawn to the pink!
DeleteI forgot about Serendipity, now I want to se that again. My hubs calls these hallmark Holidays too but I still get him candy and we do cards. Have a great start to your week pretty lady!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great movie! Hope you're first retired week goes great!
DeleteLove that VDay pillow, Lana! And yes to all the M&M's!!
ReplyDeleteThere's always room for M&M's!
DeleteI did t realize that you and mr Lana went back, way way back, to high school or earlier. Very cool.
ReplyDeleteWe were 15 when we went on our first date - so way, way back!
DeleteOhh! Serendipity is one of my favorites too! I haven't seen it in so long! I guess I know what I'm doing this weekend!
ReplyDeleteNow I want to watch it again too.
DeleteYour husband is right it is a Hallmark holiday but it's fun to do goofy things. I am so impressed that you've only kissed two "men" in your life! I suddenly feel all kinds of sleazy, lol!
ReplyDeletexo,
Kellyann
Haha - nah, I'm just weird. I did meet my husband at 15 so that ruled out a lot of other kissing :)!
DeleteI’m with you. I can’t imagine liking M&Ms more than conversation hearts!
ReplyDeleteI do like red over pink, but only to wear. I think Valentine’s Day is the prettiest holiday. I wouldn’t turn down red and pink roses either.
You are gorgeous in red!
DeleteMr. Lana!! Love it!! And Serendipity is a great movie!! Love that one too!!
ReplyDeleteHaha - his new nickname, thanks to Sarah!
DeleteYes to all the pink. LOL to your conversation hearts comments, and I love that movie. One that I have watched several times! It totally is a Hallmark holiday, I sort of agree. Yes to all the baked goods...yum.
ReplyDeleteI think I could live on baked goods.
DeleteDan's the same with Valentine's day- and now I want to hug you.
ReplyDeleteDitto.
DeleteThe pillow is great. Remembering Paris! I like Valentine's Day as a reminder to just say I love you to everyone you love.
ReplyDeleteIt's pink, pink and more pink for me too. And, after my husband read my post from yesterday he went out and got me a dozen and a half of gorgeous pink roses. They are beautiful and I'll get to enjoy them probably all the way to Valentine's. Enjoyable post!
ReplyDeleteI love Serendipity but it reminds me of Christmas! lol
ReplyDeleteI love long hugs, they are my favorite. My Dad was the same way, but he regularly did overly sweet things for my Mom. I’m a chocolate lover also
ReplyDeleteI totally watch Serendipity at least once a year! Love, love, love! And flowers for no reason at all are my absolute fave.
ReplyDeleteHow blessed you are to have such a romantic hubby, and that chocolate drink looks fantastic right now! Happy Saturday and Hugs...RO
