Mindful Monday: Don't Give Up
You know those weeks? Where you take one step forward and then two steps back? I just had one of those.
And it really got me down. It made me question myself and doubt what I'm doing. I've set some big goals. But maybe they're the wrong ones. Maybe the path I'm walking along isn't going the right way.
How do I know?
Then I realized - I don't. I'm going to get hurt, make mistakes, and encounter failure. I should know by now that success doesn't come easy. It's up to me to decide to go forward, to keep moving on, to continue forging the path. To embrace the uncertainty.
So...shoulders back, goals re-set, eyes ahead.
It's going to be a better week.

ReplyDeleteOMG, I needed to read this post today. I’ve been feeling the same way. Living in California being a blogger/artist/life coach is no easy feat. I’m getting tons of great opportunities, but my family isn’t fully on board with my new career path and my mediocre accomplishments. But I’m not going to let that stop me. I’m moving full steam ahead. Shoulders back! Eyes Ahead :) It’s going to be a great week :)

ReplyDeleteSometimes our days are difficult to move us into a different direction, I think. To cause us pause for reflection. Maybe your goals are not the wrong ones but the timing isn't right? Or they just need to be reconsidered and fine-tuned? I would venture to say, that if it was a goal, it is something important to you and how can that be wrong? Write about your feelings, make revisions, take things in a different direction to achieve the same goal but keep putting one foot in front of the other. You will get to your destination! Just watch and see. XO
