2016 asked me a lot of questions, and to be honest, I didn't have the answers.
Admittedly, I started last year with a bad attitude. Things got worse before they got better, as they often do. And even though the last few months ended on a high note, I was still kind of faking it. Underneath "my new happy" there was a sadness. For things I'd lost, and things I thought were lost.
That's going to change in 2017. My life is different now, but it's good. Better than good.
Four months from today, I'll turn 50. Normally I'm pretty nonchalant about my age, but this feels like a big one. Half a century. And I want to meet that birthday better than I am right now.
I want to do things I haven't done, get out of my comfort zone, and be the best me I can be. There's not a lot of time, but I'm finally ready. This is the year I answer back, in a big way. I can't wait.

2017 is going to be great!!! This is your year and concentrate in finding you, finding your strength and making you happy!!! I know you are like me and we try to make everyone else happy while we fake it til we make it in a pit of hurt but it's time to stand tall and enjoy life!! You got this girl!! xoxox

DeleteLana... 50 is big... it was one of my best and the nice thing is that you don't look like you are anywhere near the age of 50.I too did some things at 50 I might not have done before... once I get healthy again I want to do so much more. I look forward to finding what you accomplish this year xox ♡♡♡

DeleteI can't wait to hear what you'll do in 2017 and before turning 50. 2017 is a big year for me, too, I will be turning 40! I want to do some big things this year, too, although 2016 was a pretty awesome year in itself, so I'm a little lost on what to do this year... I started Invisalign, ran my first marathon and saw 3 cities in Italy last year with Brian. So, I think if this year doesn't top 2016, that's ok as long as I'm happy and still growing personally! :)

ReplyDeleteI really love that. Good. Better than good. I do admit that 50 seems a lot younger to me than it did as a kid. I guess it's that way about all the ages! Maybe that happens as we get older? Or maybe it was watching my grandparents live to age one hundred! Sees the day!
ReplyDeleteI used to think that 50 was ancient. And now that I'm almost there, I still feel like I'm in my 20's. So weird. I just want to keep feeling young at heart!
