Happy Friday, friends! I feel like this week just flew by, and time is really speeding up as we get closer to graduation. However, since I'm working on enjoying the moments, I thought I'd join up with the lovely Carrie this weekend and share Whatever is Lovely.
--The entire month of May is lovely. Spring has finally settled in, we celebrate our mothers, and I get to enjoy another birthday. Thank you so much for all the kind phone calls, messages, facetimes and wishes. I really felt the love!
48 birthdays ago, when I was still a natural blonde. |
--I've always wanted to see the lovely Northern Lights. Apparently there was an epic display going on over my head last weekend, and even though I was awake, I missed them. I guess I should look out the window once in a while.
--We received this Vitamin C Serum in our swag bags at the BAM Conference last month. I've never tried a product like this before, but after using it for several weeks, my skin definitely looks brighter and feels lovely. I put it on under my moisturizer morning and night. Now I just need to figure out where to buy more before the bottle is empty.
--Since January I've been working out with the 21 Day Fix, and I'm definitely feeling stronger. But summer is on the way, so I decided to give the eating plan a try for a few weeks, and I've had great results. Except I really need some new salad recipes. Luckily I found some delicious ones at Dreaming of Leaving. The Avocado Caprese salad looks especially lovely.
--I thought I'd leave you with an update on my friend Todd, who was paralyzed from the neck down in a freak body surfing accident almost two years ago. He continues to improve and get stronger, although nothing is ever fast enough for him. I'm constantly inspired by his attitude, persistence, drive to succeed, and that smile. I have no doubt that he will walk again - and that will be a truly lovely day.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Be sure to head to The Blended Blog tomorrow, where I'll be introducing you to Valerie from Maple Leopard. She's a lovely blogger who lives not too far from me, and I'm excited to share a little more about her for our blogger feature.
May is such a wonderful month. It's warm but not hot. Here the grass is green and the flowers are blooming. Also, I think you can get the serum on Amazon. Yay!! for Todd.

ReplyDeleteI am loving May, it is still a little chilly here but it is my daughters birthday, actually today... and I just know Spring is around the corner... I have been getting out walking a little bit more xox
Hey sugar foot! I am so moved by Todd's determination and attitude. What an infectious smile. I am certain his hard work will continue to be rewarded with little miracles every day. I am using vitamin C, too, and a face scrub that has vitamin C in it. Amazing how fruit is good for us inside and out. XO
