I think Carrie is busy with Create28 today, but I'm going to share Whatever Is Lovely anyway, because we all need some loveliness!
--Have you ever seen a "cloud bow" before? I'd never even heard of one, until I saw this picture, taken about an hour away from my house in a town called North Bend. This one was even more lovely because it happened at sunset.
--Earlier this week, my friend Shaunacey lost a very special friend. I was "introduced" to Nicole last year through Shaunacey's blog, and every day I went to Nicole's facebook page to read her updates. She was one of the most beautiful, lovely, kind souls I've ever encountered. No matter what difficulty she was going through, her posts were filled with positivity and light. Even though I never met her, Nicole uplifted me daily, a complete stranger thousands of miles away. Please go here to read more about this amazing woman, who will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and people around the world. Her message about Metastatic breast cancer is so important, and needs to be shared.
--New York Fashion Week is just wrapping up. So many lovely clothes! At nyfw.com, you can see video of every show, and yes, I've watched most of them because I'm weird like that. My two favorite looks are both by designer Naeem Khan. Someday I will go somewhere that requires a dress like this. I hope.
--However, this is my big fashion statement most days: yoga pants. I feel like my workouts are a little easier when I'm wearing something fun, and animal print is always a lovely bonus.
--Starting March 2nd, The Blended Bloggers will be running a lovely new series called Style Perspectives: How Would You Wear It? Each week one of us will be the featured "fashionista", and on Wednesday's we'll all share our interpretation of the outfit. I hope you'll join us - even if you don't have a blog, you can tag in on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook. Here's a sneak preview of the prompts:
Have a lovely weekend!
I've never even heard of a cloud bow, that is beautiful! Wearing fun workout clothes always makes your workouts easier and those tights are so cute! I'm loving that red gown! Stunning! Have a wonderful weekend!

DeleteWow! I've never seen a cloud like that...amazing! Love those yoga pants.
ReplyDeleteMe either Carrie!
DeleteHow beautiful!! And hello hot work out mama!!! Love those pants! I hope your weekend is awesome sweet Lana!!
ReplyDeleteHa ha - I've definitely never been called hot while working out :)!
DeleteA cloud bow - how beautiful! I'd never heard of that. I read Shaunacey's post earlier this morning. So sad. What an inspiring and beautiful person Nicole was. It seems most things on the runway are crazy, out-there outfits, but those dresses are lovely.
ReplyDeleteI was surprised at these dresses too. So normal!
DeleteThat is the coolest rainbow I've ever seen!!
ReplyDeleteShoes to Shiraz
Isn't it? Now I want to see one in person.
DeleteThat is the coolest rainbow I have ever seen too! I have never heard of that before.
ReplyDeleteMe either!
DeleteLearning lots from your blog posts! Cloudbows, can unicorns be far behind?
ReplyDeleteNow that would be fun!
DeleteHeaven gained an angel this week for sure!!! That cloudbow is amazing...that's God's doing right there!! Love your sweaters and those yoga pants are awesome!!!! Where from...not shopping...just wondering! HA!
ReplyDeleteHa ha Katie - they're Nike, from Macy's I think? Totally agree that Nicole is an angel!
DeleteYou know I don't even have yoga pants! I want Star Wars yoga pants, I think.
ReplyDeleteNever seen a cloud bow but I want to.
Star Wars yoga pants would be so fun!
DeleteThat red dress is the BOMB. I have so many nice dresses, but Military Husband and I spend so much time at home now. Hoping when we pcs we will get out more. I really had plans for us to go to a dance this year, but life got in the way. Ahhhh. We will be in a bigger city next year, so I expect to be more fashionable than my usual t-shirts and shorts, haha.
ReplyDeleteI don't have many dresses either - and definitely no evening gowns. Someday!
DeleteI've never seen a cloudbow before - it's gorgeous (and so are a lot of the dresses I've been pinning from this week's fashion shows!)
ReplyDeleteAren't the dresses lovely this year?
DeleteI've never heard of a cloud bow... that picture is beautiful Lana xox
ReplyDeleteIt's sad to lose such good people, she left behind a beautiful legacy of positive and uplifting words.
She was so inspiring during her short life. But her words will live on.
DeleteCan't wait to see what you come up with for the challenges! I'm headed over to read about Nicole! I hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteYou too Rena!
DeleteWhat a fantastic blog; you've always written fantastic blogs, and I admire all you've done. I admire how well you explain your smart ideas; it greatly assists me in my academic pursuits.
