Summer Tassels

Summer is still in full swing here, and we'll be wearing sandals and shorts for at least another month.  Things have been busy, so my go-to outfit has been a t-shirt and a pair of shorts.

To add a little something extra, I've been accessorizing with tassels.  The necklace is from Loft, and the scarf from Old Navy.  Simple and easy!

Even though I'm not ready to give up summer, I have been looking at fall styles.  It's my favorite fashion season.  Have you seen the Fall Pantone Fashion Color Report?  I'm loving every single color, especially Cashmere Rose and Desert Sage.

I wanted to share two great posts that I came across this week.  The first is from Lisa at The Stylopedia.  She shares some beautiful clothes from Marks and Spencer and writes about re-discovering her style after several years of neglect. I'm still going through this process myself and trying to figure out where I want to be style-wise at this point in my life.

The second is from Pam at Over 50 Feeling 40, who asks why women engage in such negative self talk.  I've been guilty of this my whole life, although I actually find myself improving a bit as I get older.  I wish we could all see ourselves as the beautiful, strong women we are.
