Happy Canada Day to all my Canadian friends!
I can't believe it's already week three of the Summer Style Challenge, and today I'm linking up with the fashionistas to share what we wore this week.

A few random thoughts:
-It has been HOT in Seattle. Upper 80's, low 90's for days on end, which I don't recall happening in June before, ever. I haven't worn a sweatshirt or sweater in weeks - which is also unprecedented. Last year I couldn't even do the Summer Challenge, because it was too cold to wear shorts. I do not know what's going on with this weather, but I like it!
-After two years of looking, I finally found a pair of white eyelet shorts. I am ridiculously happy about these shorts.
-I really like my asymmetrical coral skirt, but after looking at the picture, I'm not thrilled with how I styled it. Suggestions for next time?
-I'm pretty sure I've mentioned Hautelook.com before, but it's been a while. The site is affiliated with Nordstrom Rack, and they often have really great deals. I recently got these Cole Haan sandals, regularly $70, for $16.99.
-One last enabler alert for your Wednesday. Old Navy is having a great sale online right now, with free shipping if you spend $25 or more. It's a great time to stock up on summer essentials.

Ok, WOW on the Cole Hahn sandals! Wow on the Old Navy sale! I said I would stop shopping for summer, but...
ReplyDeleteAnd WOW to your outfits! I think my fave is the lace top...? Or maybe the vest outfit?? I can't decide, they are all super cute!! Have you tried the tiny knot in your tee--that i think it would be perfect with that skirt. Just take a clear SMALL elastic hair tie and knot it...there is a tutorial on the More Pieces of Me blog....my mind was blown! LOL! XOXO

DeleteWow those sandals at such a great deal! I am ridiculously happy for you and your white eyelet shorts, and they're even on sale right now! Now they just need to be 2 inches shorter and I would have thrown them in my cart and called it a day. I have those same green shorts and am going to copy that outfit soon! I really wouldn' thave paired my vest with those..goes to show you really can wear the denim vest with anything.

DeleteI love all the looks! I really need to hit the stores. I'm planning to in the next couple of weeks and plan on definitely giving hautelook.com a shot! Thanks for the tips and enjoy the warm weather. We are enjoying a brief cool off after temps in the 100's for 2 weeks!

DeleteI was just visiting with daughter tonight and she said it's so hot in OR. Maybe 102 tomorrow and no A/C. Love, love that lace top. It's has such gorgeous detail. Eyelet shorts are so feminine - I wish I had a pair. You and Deena make me wish I had white sandals. I have been totally against them for years but my attitude is changing.

DeleteOh, I want some eyelet shorts, too. And I like the length of yours. I followed your link to White House Black Market but I am not sure about what size to get. The largest they have now are 8. I can wear an 8 at Loft but only because I think their 8 is a very generous one. How true to size are these? You look just adorable in them.
