Decorating For The Fourth Of July

I love to decorate for the 4th of July.  In fact, my decorations make me so happy, I usually leave them up until the end of August.  There's something so summery about red, white and blue!

A good reminder, don't you think?

Patriotic tic tac toe.  My boys loved this when they were younger.

I looked everywhere for a festive banner for my mantel, and finally decided to make one myself.

I hope everyone has a safe, fun, happy 4th of July.  We'll be staying home, making sure our house doesn't burn down.  Last year I wrote about the fireworks war zone that my town becomes on the holiday.  We've had unusually hot, dry weather for the last few weeks, so my husband will be ready with the hose!

    1. I think they're going to be extra dangerous this year with our hot, dry weather. The hose will be ready all night!

  2. Great job on the banner, Lana! I need to make me one as well! Maybe next year! Yep! One of my firecracker projects would look so cute with your already fabulous decor! Have a great 4th and I hope to goodness there are no fires near you!

  4. All of your decorations are so cute Lana - your house must look so festive! I especially like the Relax sign, the wooden drums, and of course, your beautiful banner! I never thought to add a banner to my mantle for holiday decor - but now perhaps I might! Have a wonderful - and safe - 4th of July weekend!

I'm leaving next Thursday for a short vacation back home to KY. I'll be back late Monday evening. I promised to completely unplug for the 5 days YIKES!!!!

  7. I always need a reminder to relax!
I love your decor. It reminds me of the giant July 4th parties my parents used to throw. I miss those.
