Summer Style And A Giveaway!


It's time for the Summer Style Challenge with Alison at Get Your Pretty On, and today I'm linking up with some of my favorite blogging friends to share our summer looks.  I always feel extra stylish when I "hang out" with these lovely ladies!

 I was a little worried about my first outfit.  I went to high school in the 80's, and denim vests make me think of this:

Not that Johnny Depp isn't adorable, but that's a lot of look.  However, the denim vest is back, so I'm giving it a try.  I actually like the one I found at Macy's - it has some feminine elements like copper buttons and a defined waist - and I really love it with the floral shorts from Loft Outlet.

 The second outfit is just kind of - meh.  Although I love the color, the shorts don't fit great, and after looking at this picture, I think they have to go.  Graphic tees are so popular this season, and there are lots to choose from in almost every store.  I know that my stylish sistas will be sharing some great ones on their blogs, so be sure to check them out and link up with us below!

    Girl denim is back in style! I thought the same but my friend in ny who is in fashion said denim vests and jackets are back!

    Great feminine details on your vest. I kind of feel like mine fits like a vest we used to make for a kid's costume out of a brown paper sack. About that flattering. I like that yours has a fitted waist. Genius.

    I have for so long avoided the denim vest, but cannot any longer, I just bought my first one...today after reading all of your posts and seeing the denim vest eveywhere...it's currently on it's way from ON.

    What an incredible giveaway!
    And I just bought a denim vest on Zulily. It felt strange but I have this pure white sundress that I love but it always feels a little naked.. a little bridal. I felt like the denim vest and some flip flops would tone it down a bit.

    I was at my daughters recital last night and they did an 80's song to hip hop and all the girls had denim vests on. I thought, yep! They're so back in! :) Love your outfit!
