My New Happy: Sharing Steps

Sharing Steps

Earlier this week I realized that I hadn't posted about our friend Todd's progress in a while. Then his wife Tammi sent this video to us, and I wanted to share it with all of you!

Another of our friends, Greg, built a pulley system in Todd's room a few months ago.  It enables Todd to practice training his legs to do the "walking" motion without having to use his full weight.  While there is still a long road before Todd can walk like this on his own, just the fact that his legs are moving forward without him having to think about every step is such an encouraging sign.

If you're new to my blog and haven't read about Todd's journey before, you can catch up on his story herehere, and here.  It's truly inspiring.

He continues to amaze everyone who meets him.  Only nine months ago he was told that he might never walk again, but look at him now!  Thanks again to everyone who has sent prayers and good wishes.

Thank you to the Palafox's, Greg Kreider, Tammi, my kids, Leah the PT and Elaine Cobb! Also, thank you to everyone of you for all your support! I am so excited!

  2. He has made so much progress! What I find even more remarkable, however, than Todd being able to move his legs is his amazing smile, sense of humor and optimism ever since his accident. Cant wait for the video when he walks on his own!!!
