Pop Of Pink
So.....if I'm going to continue with outfit posts, I have to do something about my pictures. I received a remote timer for my good camera for Christmas, but it doesn't seem to work with the model I have. My older son takes pretty good pictures, but he's too busy with school and work. I would love suggestions and tips from the experts out there - how do you all take such great photos?
My friend Carrie from A Lovely Little Wardrobe is co-hosting Create28 - Lovely Spring Looks during the month of April. I was excited to see that today's outfit was Pop of Pink. If you've read my blog before, you'll know that I love to wear this color. My neon tshirt from Gap and knit blazer from Nordstrom are both old, but it was fun to pull them out of the closet today. If you'd like to get some outfit inspiration from Carrie, head to her blog and find out what to wear tomorrow!
Speaking of pulling things from the closet, I think it's time to do the twice yearly wardrobe switch. Even though our weather hasn't been very warm and springlike the last few weeks, I'm done with boots and heavy sweaters. This weekend I'll be changing over my closet and bringing the spring/summer clothes to the front. Do you do the same thing this time of year?
Don't forget, there are two days left to sign up for the latest Style Challenge. The shopping list will be released on Friday and the outfits start April 12th.
**In the spirit of full disclosure, this is an affiliate link, which means I will get a commission if you decide to join the challenge. I only recommend products and programs that I use and love myself, so I know you'll be in good hands!**
Finally, the Style Me Bloggers will be back this Friday with our favorite books. I'd love it if you linked up with us - I'm always on the lookout for new books to read!

Well I'd do the same thing if it would actually warm up here! LOL
ReplyDeletePink and grey are always nice together.
Taking photos is a huge pain in the butt. You are right though, they are important. I bought a remote for my camera and that is how I take my photos. Getting the lighting correct and editing takes time. I'm hoping that I can get outside to take some photos again soon. The one "good lens" I have for my camera needs lots of space as it has a set focal range that I can't use indoors.

I think my next step needs to be taking my photos outside. Need to figure that out.
DeleteLove me some PINK! I wear it. ALOT!
ReplyDeleteMe too!
DeleteI forgot about Carrie's challenge- will wear some pink today for sure. Thanks for the reminder
ReplyDelete:)
DeleteLana... I don't have massive clothing style, I wear the same basics all year round with either a cute sweater or a cute hoodie to pull it together... usually dress pants and a tank... a few cute blouses and when the weather is nice... which isn't often here, I have a few cute dresses and some skirts... xox
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have just the right style that works for you, which is so important!
DeleteLove the outfit Lana! This is definitely something that I do every year but only a little bit earlier than you. I've been wearing capri pants for a couple of weeks now and actually made it into shorts a couple of times. I hope the warm, beautiful weather makes it to Washington soon!
ReplyDeleteAh....shorts. What are those :)?
DeleteCute pop of pink. I adore that blazer!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ada!
DeleteYour blazer is so cute and I love the pop of pink!

Thanks Jill!
DeleteI love that blazer and pink is a great color for you :)
ReplyDeleteThanks - I wear pink alot!
DeleteI have a remote, but my husband takes better photos... altho, I always hate asking him :) That blazer is so cute, I have a striped blazer in a lighter grey color. I never thought of pairing it with a pink shirt for the spring. Thanks for the idea!
ReplyDeleteI think maybe I need to try a different remote, and get outside.
DeleteI love pink and grey together. It seems meant to be. And Scarlet loves to rock a pop of pink too!
ReplyDeleteSelfies are hard! I am currently editing an article on taking them. I have a self timer on my camera or I have Scarlet take my photo. I kid you not!
Well, Scarlet has obviously inherited your photo skills!
DeleteI will be curious to hear more about your remote, if you figure it out ... and I plan to check out Tamara's article on selfies when she publishes it. Montana has such variations of temperatures, I never really pack away my winter things!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to reading Tamara's article too. She takes such beautiful pictures!
DeleteThanks for sharing with Visible Monday, you look terrific in pink!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting Patti!
