It's the last week of Create28 With Carrie and today I'm focusing on a Spring transition outfit.
Spring has been on my mind lately, since it feels like we completely skipped winter. I can't remember another winter season where we didn't have a single snowflake. Even though the sunshine and warmer temperatures have been nice, I've missed having at least a few snowy days. I apologize to my friends on the East Coast who have had more than their share!
A boyfriend cardigan and lightweight scarf make perfect transition pieces since they keep you warm without being bulky, and can be removed as the day gets warmer. The fuschia color brightens up the look, and the floral infinity scarf reminds me spring will really be here soon.
The perfect spring transition footwear? Toms. I've decided they are my favorite shoe ever. Comfortable and cute. I've got quite a collection going, but I tend to wear these blue ones more than any other - which is obvious by how worn out they're looking. Darn shopping ban!
Be sure to check out Carrie's blog to see how she styled her Spring transition outfit!

Another great casual look and wonderful to transition into Spring. I was also thinking Pink into transitioning for Spring (today's outfit).
ReplyDeleteIt's funny that we both wore bright pink today! A perfect spring color.
DeleteThe bright pink and floral is perfect to channel spring! Such a cute look!

Thanks Jill. I love pink!
DeleteOh just go and BRAG about not having winter!!! Currently -15 and the high is going up to...-20! Oh yeah. Not to mention the 3 ft of snow. Makes me want to move back west.
ReplyDeleteYou look pretty in pink ; )

Sorry - I know you guys are having the worst winter. I'm sure we will pay for our sunny days once spring rolls around.
DeleteHi Lana, boy are you lucky with the weather! We have had so much snow ice and cold weather. I can't wait for spring and I love your outfit. I can't wait to wear something like that! Have a nice day.
ReplyDeleteJulie
Thanks Julie. I'm sorry you have had such bad weather - hoping spring arrives sooner than later!
DeleteI'm just up the coast and we've had the same weather. Our local mountains are closed due to lack of snow. Shades of Olympics 2010. Man what I wouldn't do to see a flake or two. Love the outfit. My daughter has raved on and on about her various Toms. I'm sorely tempted ...
ReplyDeleteYou would love Toms! I was doubtful that they would be comfortable, but they really are. We haven't skied once this winter because the snow has been so pitiful!
DeleteI love the outfit it's so cute! I am ready for Spring for sure we are sitting here waiting for 4 to 6 inches of snow in SC!!!! That's unheard of! For some reason, I have not been getting yours or Susan's blogs by email anymore. I don't know why but I have resigned up for them so they should start coming again. I haven't gotten one in over a week. I'll let you know if this fixes the problem!
ReplyDeleteWe very rarely got snow when I lived in Charlotte, so I bet you're excited. I don't know why you're not getting my blog. I hope the problem is fixed!
DeleteCute!
ReplyDeleteI am so ready for Spring.
Thanks - me too!
DeleteLove your outfit, Lana! I'm your newest follower. I'm always looking for more bloggers my age. Today is our third snow day here in Louisiana. We hardly ever get it, so everyone is so excited! But I'm looking forward to Spring, soon!
ReplyDeleteHope you're having fun in the snow! I'm so glad you stopped by so we could find each other!
DeleteI agree about Toms! I love mine ! I have a camo pair that I wear all of the time in the spring! I am anxious for warmer weather too!! Susan
ReplyDeleteA camo pair of Toms sounds so cute!
DeleteHow fun to think about transitions to spring! And yes, I'm in the northeast and completely sick of snow. There are several feet out there!
ReplyDeleteSorry about your snow - wish you could send a little our way.
DeleteI love that floral scarf. It goes so well with your pink cardigan. So feminine!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog!
DeleteSuch a great transitional outfit... I wish we were in the transitional phase here, but NOPE... it is snowing outside right now! I really can't wait to get my Toms back out again. I love that bright colored floral scarf.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you've had such a long winter! I will pray for spring for you soon!
DeleteYou always look great in pink! Thanks so much for participating and being so encouraging with Create28! :) Hope you have a lovely week!
ReplyDeletep.s. I love my Toms too!
Thanks Carrie. I had so much fun - thank you for coming up with such a fun challenge!
DeleteI am reading this with envy. Never wore the skirt or sandals I packed for San Antonio - the weather was just miserable! And today, I trudged through snow ... But - at least the sun was out here, and it was beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry that San Antonio's weather was so bad - I've heard it's usually beautiful there!
