The World Of Harry Potter
During our trip to Orlando last week, we left the magic of Disney for one day to visit the world of Harry Potter at Universal Studios.
I was blown away - it was like we had walked right into the books. My boys have grown up with Harry Potter, and they could not believe the level of detail. It left me speechless - and wordless - so instead I'll share some photos.
We started out in Hogsmeade, and had a Butterbeer at The Leaky Cauldron.
Then we boarded the Hogswart's Express (going the wrong way - to King's Cross Station).
Our final stop was Diagon Alley to visit Gringott's Bank and Ollivander's Wand Shop.
Am I becoming that obnoxious relative that makes you look at all their boring vacation photos? I promise these are the last ones!

I must go there!!! Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteIf you love Harry Potter, I would say it's a must do.
DeleteWhat an amazing place! Best part about it is the number of kids that have read all of the books! It would be wonderful to have inspired so many children to read!
ReplyDeleteI agree - and it was surreal to see a world that used to live only in JK Rowling's mind come to life like this!
DeleteThat was not opened yet the last time we went to Universal. Looks like so much fun!

It was pretty amazing.
DeleteIt looks.. not so crazy crowded??
ReplyDeleteI went in January and it was being built but not to be open until summer. My aunt retired from Universal Corporate in March. Drat! She got us in free for decades!
I cannot wait!
It was not busy AT ALL. We walked onto every ride all day long. Don't know where the crowds were, but we weren't complaining!
DeleteI'd love to take my daughter here! She LOVED Harry Potter growing up and has read the books over and over and over and over! I even have a picture that after a bad hair cut she could have passed as Harry herself! Maybe one day I can bring them all including Caleb and Izzy! That would be something! Looks like you had a great time. You are never to old for Disney...never!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI agree - never too old for Disney. I hope to bring my grandchildren here some day too!
DeleteThis place is officially on my 'I MUST GO THERE!' list of things to do. I love Harry Potter!
ReplyDeleteIf you love Harry Potter, you really should go. It's amazing.
DeleteHaha! Those of us who don't get out much can live vicariously through you! Sounds like a fun place.
ReplyDeleteYou made me laugh! I only get out once or twice a year :)! It was really fun.
