I posted this picture on Instagram on Friday, but for those of you who don't follow me there, I didn't want you to miss out on my favorite Santa photo ever.
Let's discuss it, shall we? First of all, T was a little over two when this picture was taken. Certainly too old to be so upset about sitting on Mrs. Claus' lap. Even when I held his hand and moved into the photo, he was having none of it. I love the look on C's face. I just imagine he's thinking, "don't worry, he does this all the time, I ignore him". And Santa is clearly hoping it will be over soon.
But Mrs. Claus really steals the show. To this day I have no idea if she was honestly making that face at him, or hamming it up for the camera.
In any case, T eventually got over his fear of sitting on the laps of strange people in red suits and having his picture taken. When I phrase it like that, it's a wonder we get any good Santa photos at all!
Last year's photo - and I didn't have to hold his hand! |
Amazing to see the two pictures, in the first the boys are so little and then poof, the second one they're all grown up.
ReplyDeleteWishing a very Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family.
That's how I feel - poof, they grew up! Merry Christmas to you and yours as well!
DeleteJust when I thought I was getting ahead Lana - now today I have to survey about 100 blogs. I'm curious whether other bloggers chose today to post a photo of their children, and write about what they must have been thinking ... or is this just another example of how much we are on the same blogging wavelength?!
ReplyDeleteI love both photos! Mrs. Claus upstaged Santa for sure!!
I hope you have a wonderful holiday with your parents! From the looks of your post yesterday, you look very ready for their arrival! Happy holiday!
We are definitely on the same wavelength! I loved your post today.
DeleteHeehee! Keeping this one for future reference! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI knew you would enjoy this, as a Mrs. Claus yourself!
DeleteHaha, love that first photo.
ReplyDeleteIt's my favorite!
Deletehaha! It looks to me like she's just hamming it up, but who really knows?
ReplyDeleteIt's hilarious!
So, so funny. And I had no idea until I got the picture back.
DeleteI love it, Lana! My phone isn't working well, so I didn't see this on Instagram, but it looks so much like some of the photos I have. We are seeing Santa tomorrow, and I'm hoping my teens will behave as well as yours! ;)
ReplyDeleteHope Santa pictures went well!
DeleteLove your boys Santa pic!! And your insta one is hilarious!! Sometimes I wish I wasn't to old to take a piture with Santa!! LOL Have a great weekend!!
ReplyDeleteYou're never too old to take a picture with Santa!
DeleteHer face is priceless! I have a picture where my son is sitting on Santa Claus' lap while my daughter sits on my sons lap and she is still screaming bloody murder! merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI would love to see that photo!
DeleteI never see Mrs Claus and she really sets this picture apart from all the usual crying baby with Santa photos! I love it. The second photo looks like the 3 guys are real pals just caught in a photo talking about football or movies. They all look so natural!
ReplyDeleteThis Santa and Mrs. Claus have been coming to events in our town since my boys were little. We still see them on occasion!
DeleteHa ha! This totally cracked me up : ) Thanks for that.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Christmas!
bisous
