We just got back from a family vacation to Walt Disney World in Florida. I'll write more about it one of these days, but today I thought I'd share some of my pictures.
One of my favorite things about Disney is their attention to detail, and I've always wanted to see their Christmas decorations. They outdid themselves.
Lifesize - all gingerbread - it smelled wonderful! |
I'm running away to live in this lobby. |
And of course, Cinderella's Castle, decked out with Christmas lights. It was absolutely breathtaking.
But alas, all vacations must come to an end. After leaving 80 degrees and sunny, we returned home to this.
Oh well. Have a great weekend!
I haven't been to Disney World since I was in high school but even then I remember all the details. It is one of things that separates them from theme parks. I'm sure the Christmas decorations were breath taking!
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to go at Christmas time, and it didn't disappoint!
DeleteI have to say that these pictures embody the old saying "feast for the eyes". That first tree is just exquisite.
ReplyDeleteIt was stunning in person!
DeleteYour photo of the castle is making me wish I was a princess (with a maid!).
ReplyDeleteOur blogging schedule is so similar - once again my thumbnail is right after yours at #Saturdaysharefest!
Wouldn't it be fun to stay there for a night?
DeleteBeautiful pictures...I especially love the castle with the lights!
ReplyDeleteMe too - I couldn't stop staring at it!
DeleteOh wow.... that photo of the castle is stunning! I love Disney at Christmastime. We've done that once or twice, and it definitely multiplies the magic. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt was very magical, even for my teenage boys!
DeleteI would LOVE to go there for Christmas. We're going in March.
ReplyDeleteYou will have so much fun, and the weather will probably be better then!
DeleteSigh. I would love to go in December! As it is, we're going in January like we did last year. It was special but it didn't look like this.

I will definitely head over and check it out.
DeleteNo matter the weather it is always nice to get back home isn't it? Looks like you had a great time! I figured Disney Land not Disney World I bet that was a long flight!
ReplyDeleteIt was good to get home, although I miss Mickey!
DeleteWe used to go to Disney the first week in January every year when our daughter was younger. So fun to see your photos! I'm ready to go back!

I would go every year if I could talk my husband into it!
DeleteWe were at Disney a few weeks ago too! It was magical, as always. Where did you stay? And we have never been to Harry Potter World! It looks like we need to do that!! Susan
ReplyDeleteYou should definitely go to Harry Potter next time you're there. We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside and LOVED it!
