The guys in my house are all sick with colds this week - I'm staying far away. I did finally take pity on them, and made a pot of this chicken noodle soup. It's almost as easy as opening up a can of Campbell's, and so much more delicious.
Easiest Chicken Noodle Soup
46 oz. chicken broth or stock (homemade is best, but we're going for easy here)
3 uncooked boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite size pieces
2 cups uncooked medium egg noodles
1 cup sliced carrots
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/3 cup sliced celery
1 tsp. dill
1/4 tsp. pepper
I hate canned soup so this made me happy. Scarlet just got over being sick, but she passed it to the boys. I'm safe.. so far.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing an easy recipe!
So far so good for me too. I swear this soup made them feel better though!
DeleteOh!!! I love it!!!! And I have a family story of this soup!!! My husband loves to cook it and he makes home made noodles, because that the way his dad always did that!!! And now, when it's cold outside, just the smell of this soup cooking makes me warm!!!!

DeleteI LOVE homemade Chicken Soup!! This looks like a great recipe. I made a big pot of chili today - always good to get warm from the inside out! By the way - I have a scarecrow that sits on a shelf with dangly legs, just like this turkey!
ReplyDeleteChili is another great choice this time of year!
