Here I go again, wearing something way outside my comfort zone. Printed pants have been very popular all year, and they are back for Fall in a big way.
I decided to try these Pixie pants from Old Navy because I had heard so many good things about them. They do not disappoint! If you're like me and need to ease into this trend, the polka dot print isn't too wild. The pants themselves are comfortable and slimming, and the price is right. They key to wearing printed pants is to go with something solid on top, so I chose a simple blue cardigan.
For my friends who are a little more adventurous than me, these look fun.
If I'm feeling really crazy, maybe I'll wear something like this.
Okay, probably not. I'll just stick with polka dots for now - but watch out plaid, I'm coming for you next year!
Next week you'll see me in an outfit from the Fall Style Me Pretty Challenge. There's still time to sign up!
This will be my third Style Me Challenge, and I cannot say enough good things about it! Alison has amazing style, and shares it all during the 21 day challenge. If you don't have a lot of money in your clothing budget - no worries. I usually find many of the items are already in my closet, and it's easy to substitute with pieces that you own. Plus, Alison's picks are always very budget friendly. The girl knows how to shop a Target sale! The best part? Not having to figure out what to wear every day - because Alison tells me!

I'm so glad you're doing the Style Challenge. It's so much fun!
Deleteoh I love those pants on you. I have a similar pair from ON...I've been eyeing the red ones like Shauncey, but not quite sure if I really want to commit.
ReplyDeleteI really like the burgundy ones too.
DeleteYou look "marvelous darling!" Love the kalidoscope pair too! Keep living on the edge!
ReplyDeleteI like the polka dot pants on you a lot! Of the 3 they are the most easy fashion to wear!
ReplyDeleteYes, I definitely go with the safest choice :)!
DeleteLove the dots on you, so pretty! I have a pair of dotted ones in denim and love them. The plaid would be fun for fall. I haven't heard of the Style Me Pretty, but will check it out! Kim :)
ReplyDeleteI might get brave and try the plaid at some point. The Style Me Challenge is so much fun!
DeleteLove these! I'm like you a little afraid to get to far out of my comfort style but willing to take some risks although shark cages are definitely out. I love this look and I have to say before I had you sweat pants were my thing but I've been getting a little more with it. I've even actually shopped a time or two even though I thoroughly despise it. I have to admit that looking better does make you feel better and I'll even cope to wearing a little makeup lately. I know who to think, so does hubby the crazy lady who swims with sharks and with whom I want to skydive out over the beautiful Oregon Coast with...nah he's not worried the least little bit!
ReplyDeleteRena, you're the sweetest! I've actually debated whether or not to keep doing the fashion posts - but I do love it! I definitely feel better when I get out of my sweats and dress up a little bit. I'm harmless, really! Tell your hubby :)!
DeleteCop and thank damn tablet!
ReplyDeleteI'm LOVING you in those print pants!!!!!!!!!!!!!! big step and pays off! so so cute
ReplyDeleteYou are my printed pants inspiration!
DeleteThought I left a comment here?!
ReplyDeleteI love the polka dots. Great outfit. I had a pair of wildly printed pants when they were in style back when I was in my late 20's. Probably can't pull that look off now though!
I have a pair of plaid bell bottoms that I loved and wore all the time. I felt like one of the Brady Bunch!
