He Just Wanted To Fly A Kite
My older son C has always loved flying kites, and it's one of his favorite things to do when we go to the beach. He's gotten pretty good at it, and this year he was entertaining us with his new stunt kite.
Until his little brother showed up.
Apparently, T decided there had been enough kite flying on this day.
C is quite a bit bigger than his younger brother, and he's not easy to take down.
But what T lacks in size, he makes up for in tenacity.
Success! At least as far as T was concerned.
Poor C. All he wanted to do was fly a kite. I'd feel sorry for him, but I'm pretty sure he got T back later. Ahh....the love between brothers.

I love this! I really hope to have a seond child one day and get to witness "singling love" like this too :)
ReplyDeleteThey really do love each other - although maybe not at this moment!
DeleteA great kite-flying story ...with interruptions :-)
ReplyDeleteExactly!
DeleteToo funny! This is so quintessential brother activity. I have two boys too and it's like that's how they bond - physically harrassing each other, tumbling and wrestling. Must be a testosterone thing. What cute boys you have!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! They are constantly wrestling - definitely a boy thing!
DeleteThey will probably laugh and talk about this when they are grown. Sweet memories. The best time of life.

I love how they interact at this age. Thank you!
DeleteGreat pics of a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteThe photos are so cool! It's a beautiful kite.
ReplyDeleteAnd ahh, siblings! It's the best sometimes. And the worst!
A photo compliment is awesome coming from you! Yep, it's definitely a love/hate relationship!
DeleteYour photos are gorgeous! I remember fighting like that with my sister. Since my daughter is an only, she only tries to fight with us!:)

So funny! My brother and I were so mean to my poor sister...
DeleteThat's some of the best memories monkeying around with your siblings!
ReplyDeleteI agree Rena!
DeleteAwww that makes me so wish Tucker's (half) brother was younger than he is and it very very much makes me want to run with a kite. I thank you for that!!
ReplyDeleteAren't kites fun? Thank you!
DeleteSomeone needs his brother so they can play together. Kite flying can be a solitary activity and I'm sure your younger son eventually got tired of "watching" and wants his brother back. That's such a sweet move even if tackling was involved.
ReplyDeleteIt seems like tackling is always involved with the two of them!
DeleteThis is how my boys communicate too! I always feel like I'm watching bear cubs. I love it!
ReplyDeleteMe too Marie!
DeleteIt was fun to watch them!
