Red Balloons For Ryan
I had a new post written for today about my teenagers growing up and moving on. It will have to wait.
As I was perusing a few of my favorite sites, I read about a fellow blogger who lost her 3 year old son in a tragic accident last Friday. I've spent the day with a sad, heavy heart. I did not know Jacqui or her family, and had not read her blog, Baby Boy Bakery. But as a mom, I cannot comprehend the pain they are going through. It is so hard to understand when something like this happens, and I pray that they will be able to find peace.
Thrive Moms has set up a donation page to help support this family.
I know I will be hugging my boys a little tighter tonight.

Her situation and loss has hit so many of us hard, even without knowing her. It's easy to put ourselves in her shoes when we have children of our own. It could so easily be any one of us - and we all grieve for her. So beautiful that as a blogging community we can lift them up in prayer.
ReplyDeleteI have been amazed and uplifted by the support on social media. I hope it helps them in some small way.
DeleteMany of our blogs are tied closely to our families - perhaps that is why, as bloggers and mothers, we identify so intensely with Jacqui's loss. I hope she feels comforted by the support of this amazing community.
ReplyDeleteI hope so too. Such a horrible loss.
DeleteHere are some more ways you can keep Ryan's memory alive and help support the Saldana family: http://www.snowstormblog.com/2014/05/redballoonsforryan.html
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing - I will check some of them out.
DeleteI can't even begin to comprehend what they are going through. Sending love and prayers.
ReplyDeleteI can't comprehend it either. So sad.
DeleteI too heard about the tragic loss of Ryan. I continue to keep her family in my thoughts and prayers.
ReplyDeleteI hope all of our prayers give them a tiny amount of peace.
DeleteI just heard about this yesterday. Heartbreaking. It is so important to be aware of those who are hurting at Mother's day.
ReplyDeleteYes, Mother's Day is so hard for so many.
