My favorite trend for spring and summer is pastels. Lemon yellow, mint green, pale pink - I love them all! Pastel colors are so fresh and feminine and can turn any outfit into a smile.
My niece made this bracelet and it paired perfectly with my shirt.
So cute - and she made it with rubber bands! I think she has a future on Etsy.
If you're thinking of trying pastels, there are so many options. I'm loving these shorts from Loft. They have the perfect inseam and come in 16 colors.
For a pop of pastel, these scarves from Kohl's would be fun with with a white shirt and jeans, or you could try a tank top under a denim shirt.
Today I'm joining my friends from the Style Me Challenge to find a little inspiration in the everyday. Head over to Foxy's Domestic Side for the linkup!
Linking up with Get Your Pretty On, The Pleated Poppy, Because Shanna Said So, Not Dead Yet Style.
Hmm. Not sure I even have anything pastel in my wardrobe - but this is inspiring me to possibly change that! I love the motivation these style posts provide!
ReplyDeleteMaybe your niece could write a tutorial for the cute rubber band bracelet as a guest post on your blog! It is really cute!
Great idea - she would love to write a guest post! Go get yourself some pastels!
DeleteHi Lana! Love the mint top and white Tom's! That bracelet is super cute too! I can't believe it was made with rubber bands! Where are all those pastel jeans from?
ReplyDeleteHope you had a wonderful Mother's Day!

I wish I knew - it was repinned and repinned and I couldn't find the source - but they're just so pretty!
DeleteI have a particular weakness for pastel jeans. I bought mint, pink, and baby blue...oh, and a bright coral. Such fun!
ReplyDeleteI don't have any pastel jeans but I really need to get some.
DeleteOh goodness, I want every pair of jeans in that first photo! I think I have the mint ones already so I'll take all of the others. :)
ReplyDeleteI love them too!
DeleteLove all of those jeans! I love. love pastels. What a great outfit for your Mother's Day, super cute :)

DeleteI think I need more pastels in my life...thanks for this post!
ReplyDeleteThanks Deena. Pastels always make me happy!
DeleteLove the pastels...mint has been big for a couple of seasons now & I am such a huge fan! My fave is the mint nail polishes so funky and add a nice splash a of colour.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of mint nail polish - might have to pick some up!
DeleteI am lacking pastels in my closet! I love that mint shirt and would love one of my own too. But the sweetest thing is your son's gift to you, the Toms shoes!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I'd would love it if you can add your blog to the I’m a Miss/Mrs Looking Good Blog Directory. Check it out!

Thank you. The Tom's were my favorite part too!
DeleteMint is one of my current favorites right now and you look very pretty in it. The pastels make me think of sherbet, so perfect for summer! ~Ann
ReplyDeleteTarnished Royalty
Yes, sherbet is exactly it! I think that's why they make me so happy.
DeleteI like those Loft shorts because of the longer inseam. Pastels may be my favorites!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog a couple weeks ago. : )
Yes, the longer inseam works better for me because I'm tall. Love pastels too!
DeleteHaha! I love those band things that your niece made you! My art teacher's daughter made some for my class and I keep it in my car now:)
ReplyDeletexo Olivia

DeleteI am warming up to pastels too, Lana, and I really like your blouse. Thanks for sharing with Visible Monday, you look great.
ReplyDeleteThanks Patti. I love Visible Monday - I've found so many great blogs there!
DeleteMint is so fresh for spring/summer. Love it. Looks great with your denim and cute Toms.
ReplyDeleteThank you Lisa. It is definitely a refreshing color!
DeleteCute bracelet, too! I have not seen that pattern although we are cranking out the rainbow loom bracelets daily here ; )
ReplyDeleteI think she looked it up on You Tube. Such a cute idea!
DeletePastel is just perfect for this season, I am a fan!
ReplyDeleteI'm really enjoying pastels. Thank you for stopping by!
DeleteVery pretty on you! In spite of it's popularity, very pale mint can be challenging to wear... but your skin and hair are enhanced, even in this cool light! Lucky you. Yeaaay for Toms ... great program, yes?
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the compliment. Sometimes I wear colors that aren't so good on me just because I like them. Getting better about that as I get older though. Yes, part of the reason I have so many Tom's is for their philanthropic work.
