Tomorrow is my one month blogiversary! It has been an amazing start, and I've already met some wonderful new friends. I'm looking forward to seeing where this exciting venture takes me.
In honor of my blogiversary and Mother's Day next weekend, I thought I would share the recipe for my Grandma's Custard Pie. This is my mom's favorite dessert, so I'll probably bake it for her when she comes to visit. Nobody makes it as good as grandma did, but I'll give it my best shot. It's actually a very simple recipe, and can be garnished with fresh fruit if you want to add a little extra flavor and color.
Grandma's Custard Pie
Pre Cooked Pie Crust (you can make your own - I buy Marie Callender's)
4 eggs
1/2 cup + 1 Tbsp. Sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
3 cups milk, heated almost to boiling
1 tsp. vanilla
nutmeg
I had to bookmark that pie. Oh how good it sounds!

DeleteBelated happy blogiversary! That custard pie is definitely the prefect way to celebrate such occasion. Those recipes make us reminiscent of the love our grannies put into making those treats for us when we were younger. They can brighten up anyone's day! I'm sure that custard pie is really delicious. Cheers!
