Mindful Monday: Friends

Making friends is so easy when we're kids.  A simple statement - "come sit with me" - and it's the beginning of a wonderful relationship.

Then we get older, we're more unsure of ourselves, and new friendships feel impossible.

Unless...we push that fear aside, reach out our hands, and see if magic might happen.

Trust me, it does.

Blogging has opened up a whole new world of friendships, and over the weekend, one of those new worlds came to visit me in mine.

Deena and I talked and laughed and shopped (of course), and it truly feels like I've known her for years.  My life is fuller and richer because she's in it.

I'm so grateful that we said "come sit with me".
